Dr. Boss

Dr. Christine Boss joined the OCVH family in August 2014. She grew up in Massachusetts where she received her undergraduate degree in Biology at UMass Amherst in 2009. Her undergraduate experience with animals began in livestock and equine reproduction medicine. She continued her education in Grenada, attending St. George's University. There she became interested in exotic animal medicine and surgery, and she became the president of the Exotics and Wildlife Society. She returned to the United States for her clinical training at the University of Pennsylvania, earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2013.

Following Veterinary School, Dr. Boss completed an internship program at the Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island, an emergency and specialty hospital in West Islip, NY. Dr. Boss is experienced in emergency medicine, treating small animal and exotic animal patients. She also has a special interest in ophthalmology.

When she's not at work, she keeps busy with her multi-species household. Dr. Boss has four cats, a ball python, bearded dragon, leopard gecko, and an energetic lab mix. She enjoys being creative, making pottery and a variety of studio arts. She loves the outdoors and learning about the native species of animals when traveling.
