Ocean County Veterinary Hospital Reviews
Ocean County Veterinary Hospital is a full-service
hospital that provides compassionate care for dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. Our modern and clean facility consistently earns the highest accreditation rating that the American Animal Hospital Association awards for high standards of medicine, surgery and dentistry.
Our advanced in-hospital laboratory, ultrasound, electrocardiograph, X-ray units, endoscope, blood pressure monitors, ophthalmic and other equipment, help assist our doctors in making rapid and accurate diagnoses.
New treatment procedures such as stem-cell therapy and the K-Laser are helping our patients with chronic arthritis, inflammatory conditions and severe wounds while alleviating their pain.
Our surgeons are capable of performing a wide range of procedures from customary spays and neuters to using a laparoscope for simple or complex surgeries (including gastropexy for large breed dogs). And many orthopedic procedures can be performed right here at our hospital.

Minimally Invasive Surgery
Laparoscopic procedures require one or two tiny (less than one inch) incisions and result in far less tissue damage and internal bruising than traditional surgery. Smaller incisions and less tissue damage mean less pain, faster healing for your pet along with a reduced chance for post-operative complications. Imagine having your female cat or dog spayed one day and having her feeling great the next!
Reduced Risk of Infection
Exotic Pet Care
Ocean County Veterinary Hospital recognizes that exotic pets have become popular because many people enjoy the unique qualities these animals possess. Our knowledge and experience with exotic species combines clinical expertise with a personal touch.
We provide care for birds, reptiles (such as lizards, snakes, turtles and tortoises), ferrets, rabbits, small mammals (gerbils, guinea pigs, mice, rats, hedgehogs and sugar gliders), amphibians and other species.
We offer several services for your exotic pets including:
Your pet will receive a thorough physical exam and we will review his or her health and daily lifestyle with you. This is the best time to let us know if you have noticed anything unusual, such as changes in eating, elimination, weight or behavior. Your pet's health depends upon your observations and a thorough physical examination.
